I escaped from a boring career in London when I was in my twenties, bought a sailing boat and did 70,000+ miles of ocean cruising, yacht deliveries and skippering from the UK to the Mediterranean, Caribbean and the Baltic. Later I wrote freelance for a sailing magazine for several years and also worked for a long while as a musician/entertainer. I now work occasionally as a sailing instructor/yacht skipper/yacht delivery skipper, but mostly like to fly, when the weather permits!
